Coach Certosimo was the Athletic Director of River Dell High School from 1960 to 1973.He touch many lives as a High School Teacher, Head Football and Baseball Coach in the River Dell School System. He served his country during WWII and was awarded the Bronze Star.
knew Coach "Matty" as my Sophomore World History teacher. He was truely a down to earth, good natured, unruffled teacher. He took us to New York City to see the classic movie "Ben Hur" which was a great experience to go into NYC on a school day. He had a wonderful life and family and will be missed. May he rest in peace and enjoy eternal life now.

I am so sorry to hear about Coach Certosimo. Certosimo and Coaches Corcoran, Muelik and Sneideker had a tremendous impact on my life. I have run sports camps and promotions, as well as, teach science currently I run the Perryman Keglovits All Star Basketball Game in Monroe County. Its a non profit game nobody gets a cent except the Jimmy V Foundation and the Dale and Frances Hughes Cancer Center. Rich Lav
