Subject: Lynne's Story

My Life's Story: written by my husband after my death (9/4/08),  I'm sorry that it took this long (after Lynne's passing) for me to put this in writing.

Lynne wanted for all her classmates to know that  part of her life  she always remember the good times and friends at River Dell.  I too lost my best friend.

After graduation Lynne went to Montclair State but instead of finishing she married me the guy from Schreiber's Deli.

Areas lived: After moving from Bergen Co. To south Jersey, we moved back north to build a house in Ringoes, NJ.  After 14 years we moved across the river to Pa. (Bucks Co.) In 2006 we bought our home in Myrtle Beach, SC

Family:  Three daughters (all grown), 8 grandchildren (16-6).  Two daughters live in Pa. One followed us to SC only to remarry and move to Germany.

What Lynne did in her spare time:  Worked in banking(financial accounting) secretarial, but her true passion was entrepreneurial- Having her own business was both rewarding and extremely frustrating.  Her ventures were in needlecrafts (also teaching the craft), ice cream and gourmet candy store, finally a breakfast and lunch cafe in Buckingham, Pa.

This was intermingled with singing in the church choir (as well a being the secretary to the minister), the normal kids activities(Girl Scout & Brownie Leader, soft ball coach) and lastly she had fun bowling, camping and traveling to a lot of real preaty beaches.

Favorite Place: We did some interesting traveling, mundane by most, but enjoyed the beaches of Hawaii, Canary Islands, Aruba, St. Martin, St Thomas(you must eat at Romano's the owner is from River Edge), most of the other Caribbean islands, but our all time favorite was staying at the Reefs in Bermuda.

Although the above has been condensed, it by no means that our life was not full of accomplishments, exciting times, memories, and trauma plus what ever.

After moving to SC in 2007, Lynne was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, went through surgery and chemotherapy, only to pass away September 4, 2008.

My regrets for having to write this but as I mentioned before I too lost not only a best friend but my wife of 43 years.
